For this project, I was tasked with creating a single letter in a completely new typeface. My primary sources of inspiration were metal band logos and hip hop graffiti lettering, both of which feature bold, expressive forms and strong visual personalities. I wanted to combine the aggressive, angular qualities often found in metal typography with the fluid, stylized energy of graffiti. Throughout the design process, I created countless versions of the letter, experimenting with different shapes, proportions, line weights, and decorative elements. Each iteration helped me refine the design further until I arrived at the final version, which best captured the balance of influences I was aiming for.

   

    One of the most valuable lessons I learned from this project was the importance of repetition and revision in the creative process. By redrawing and redesigning the letter over and over again, I gained a deeper understanding of the forms and visual language I was trying to create. Each version revealed new strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to gradually remove unnecessary elements and focus on what worked best. This process taught me that strong design rarely appears fully formed at the beginning. Instead, it develops through patience, experimentation, and continuous refinement. Repeatedly revisiting the work helped me create a more successful final project and gave me a greater appreciation for the value of iteration in design.
