This project involved creating a custom typeface for a single word that represented a television show. The objective was to visually communicate the show’s personality and tone through typography alone. I went through multiple stages of the design process, experimenting with different letterforms, styles, and structures to figure out what felt effective and what did not. Each round of revisions helped me better understand how typographic choices influence mood and overall tone.

For the final concept, I drew inspiration from a comic style character I created in elementary school called Donut Man, a superhero donut. This direction required the typeface to reflect a playful, cartoonish, and childlike energy. I carefully considered design decisions such as whether or not to use serifs and how rounded or bold the letters should be in order to support that tone. Through continuous refining, adjusting shapes, and simplifying details, I arrived at a final typeface that successfully captured the fun, lighthearted spirit of the show.
